Blogger lets you to add  third party widgets/plugins to your blog.in order to add third party widgets on your blog,you should add codes of widgets to your blog.You can add codes on your blog from HTML template editor or in a specific placement such as right side bar,footer etc using third party code editor.To add codes on your blog in layout section,you can use 'HTML/JavaScript' element.

You can add HTML,JavaScript,CSS and many more codes in a HTML/JavaScript page element. By adding codes on a 'HTML/JavaScript' element,you can change its appearing placements on your blog dragging and dropping the HTML/JavaScript element to any available layout section.You don't need to do any customization on your blog template editor.

Add third party codes on Blogger

Step 1: Sign in to your Blogger account.

Step 2: Now go to Blogger Dashboard >> Click on the Layout option from the drop down list near the blog title.

Step 3: Now click on "Add a Gadget" link.

Step 4: Now pop up window will open. Scroll down the popup window finding "HTML/JavaScript" page element.
Step 5: After you found it,click on "HTML/JavaScript".

Step 6: Now add the codes in the content box and put the title of your HTML/JavaScript in the title text field .If you want to edit content in compose mode/editing text, click on "Rich text" link.

Note:- Title of your element will appear on the blog,so if you use hidden widget such as Recommendation widget and page views tracking plugin, don't add title to it.because title will appear on your blog without its content.

Step 7: After you added content to HTML/JavaScript,to publicize your new widget click on "Save" button.
Step 8: If you want to change the HTML/JavaScript element displaying placement,drag and drop into another available layout section.
Step 9: Now it's time to visit your blog to see how HTML/JavaScript element will appear on your blog.click on Preview button on the upper right corner of your screen.
Step 10: If your HTML/JavaScript element is works properly and placed in right position,click on "Save arrangement" button on the upper right side of your screen.

In some one case,your whole blog layout positioning might be confused.So be aware of adding codes on your blog.It is good to have some basic knowledge about HTML and other designing languages.If your page element has not include any essential code such as closing tag,your widget might be disappeared or your blog layout might be messed up.Sometimes it is difficult to find out the cause(s) of the problem.So when editing the codes on the HTML/JavaScript element,try to edit those code using a editor such as Notepad,Notepad++  etc.
