Google translator is one of most popular and powerful translating services in online. Now the google translator is integrated with Gmail which is an advertising supported free email service powered by Google. Since Paul Buchheit created the Gmail on 1 April 2004, Now it has been developed and at some times new features were added and removed ( More about Gmail ). Without changing, there is no existence in the Internet. So the quality of Gmail is one premise of the dominance of Google. In my previous article, I explained you how to use Google transliteration feature and keyboard shortcuts in Gmail. This time I will show you how to use email translator in Gmail account. There are many free tools to translate paragraphs such as Google translator, Bing Translator. Although Google provides such an useful tool which is easy to control. Therefore we don’t need anymore to worry about searching the “free online translation tools” on Google.
In this explanation,I show you how to translate an English email to Chinese language.
1: Sign in to your Gmail account and open an Email which you want to translate.
2: Then click on the drop down arrow in the top left corner like below screen shot.You could see that there is an option called “Translate Message” in the bottom of list.Click on it.
3: Now you will see the translate bar is showing on the screen. You can choose the language which you want to translate the message. It will take a few seconds to translate the whole email. After translating,you can see the original email by clicking on “View original message” link text.

English to Chinese translation
In this explanation,I show you how to translate an English email to Chinese language.
1: Sign in to your Gmail account and open an Email which you want to translate.
2: Then click on the drop down arrow in the top left corner like below screen shot.You could see that there is an option called “Translate Message” in the bottom of list.Click on it.
3: Now you will see the translate bar is showing on the screen. You can choose the language which you want to translate the message. It will take a few seconds to translate the whole email. After translating,you can see the original email by clicking on “View original message” link text.
Change the language that messages are translated into
By default,Gmail will translate the emails into the language which Gmail is displaying in. So you have to change the default language in order to change the language that messages are translated into.
- Click on the gear icon in the top right.
- Select on settings option.
- Now in the Language: section, change the "Gmail display language:" by selecting on desired language you want.
- Save your changes.
